Read Combatrider and quite possibly expand to the point of understanding. A forum, as I understand it isn't written or controlled by a select few but the masses. Original poetry should showcase the wonderful young writers and the old still trying. You may delete me but the poems will keep on coming. To all the young writers, way to go and don't give up. They, being them will be gone sooner or later. Congradulations for your efforts.

I also think that we should think that not everyone that is on this site might have the time to be on here as much as they would like. I hope this site gets a heartbeat again. I have been on here for years and barely visit due to the dormant nature. It’s premise is beautiful, but not the outcome. I am always hopeful!

not sure how many poets are here now, but the pulse needs to pick up the beat. this was and could still be a great site. as phoenix9 i had 3389 friends on here when i first came here. can anyone tell me is the weekly contest active.. i have 148 poems on here as phoenix9 and a couple as phoenix29 my current post and will be putting more on here. a group of us had our own DPS dead poets and did challenges, anyone up for that..i am at the moment recovering from a stroke, working on a second vol. of poetry, hope to publish next year.my 1st vol. ..So we are closing in on 2020 now, what do we do with this site? can anyone comment on my new poem, EVERY, ty. richard e. cartledge, aka. I think one reason we do not see a lot of interaction here maybe because most of us work during the day then need to catch up on family and life.

Greetings to all fellow enthusiasts of the fairways! I am Sofia, a dedicated golf enthusiast whose passion for the sport knows no bounds. However, life threw me a curveball in the form of an ankle injury, temporarily sidelining me from the joy of playing the game I love. But as they say, every cloud has a silver lining. During this period of recovery at Royal Oaks Country Club in Vancouver, WA - the nest Golf Courses Near Vancouver WA - I found myself drawn to the serene landscapes of the golf course, where inspiration struck in the most unexpected way. With each step I couldn't take on the greens, I found solace in the words I could pen down.

Poem:

On fairways vast where eagles soar,
A golfer's heart seeks something more.
A twist of fate, a sidelined play,
An ankle's whisper: rest and stay.

Yet in this hush, a new tale spun,
As golden rays embraced each run.
Pen touched paper, a dance began,
A golfer's journey on verses' span.

Nature's chorus, a soothing balm,
As injury's sting lost its charm.
The rustling leaves, a calming song,
In poetry's embrace, I belong.

Serenity reigns on every green,
A tranquil world, a secret scene.
Majestic trees, a silent crowd,
Their wisdom whispered, clear and loud.

Oh, the tales they told of swings and hits,
Of fairway victories, near misses.
In tender verses, dreams took flight,
A golfer's heart found solace in sight.

So here, dear reader, I share with you,
A golfer's soul, a poet's view.
An injury's pause, a new chapter found,
In nature's lap, words did resound.

For even when challenges come to play,
Creativity finds its radiant way.
In fairways' embrace, a spirit set free,
Sofia's journey, a poetic decree.
