Red and Silver
The cold metal of the sharp razor caresses her thighs
Every one saying "She's just high"
Her mind is in another place
Only seeing his face
All she wants is to sit down and cry
But, instead she chooses to die
As the razor glides smoothly up her veins
she smiles, thoughtlessly, feeling no pain.
The blood flows from her skin like a crimson river.
The look in her eyes would make you shiver
Her eyes roll back in her head
Hurry, she's almost dead
As she lies there on the floor
The paramedics knock at the door.
When they finally make it in,
two seconds too late,
her life has flown from her skin.

For the love of horror, and the respect for, shall we say ‘the darker arts‘- this is the foundation for which The Poets of Blood’s castle has been built.
The casual, contemporary horror created today, although engrossing, lacks a passion due to societies over-stimulation in this genre; leaving a trail of blood-thirsty fans to dehydrate, while desperately they search for just a drop of terror, to wet their pallet.
Where else can true, raw, controversial, horror truly be mastered, if not- in poetry. Poetry, through the ages has proven to be that which is socially taboo in outward expression, as well as excepted, and respected in various social circles. This fact is why poetry is unequivocally a suited design to present horror to those that fiend for night-terrors, during the waking hour.
On one stormy night in late July 0f 2009, two poets joined forces to search out others that share this interest. Madelynn, and John E. WordSlinger. they conceived a union on the internet poetry website, OriginalPoetry.com, and a child was born. This child’s name was Alexia Osborn-username Poets of Blood.
Alexia hunted by night, crawling into poet’s pages, as they slept- searching for those that wrote with exceptional horror- flair.
The poets which have joined her ’family’ have proven to be some of the most masterfully talented, undiscovered, horror writers to grace the internet today.

Ok here is the surprise,
this book will be sent to Clive Barker, with additional ideas
for the Poets of Blood,

He is a fan of my music since 1991, we the Begets of Autumn
was supposed to be in Hellraiser 3, in the club scene, but we had
an unfortunate event so Armored Saint got the gig, but we still
corespond from time to time.
So you all deserve to be in the hands of one of the masters of horror.....

The Helm of the Silence Machine

Black cloak with tatters streaming,
He slowly turns the wheel.
In his wake the screaming
of souls he'll plan to steal.
He listens to the thumping
as bodies strike the hull.
Full moon reveals the features
of
a bleached white human skull.

A chuckle of mirth
for the pain caused on earth
As he happily surveys the scene.
No offer of aid
to the desperate pleas made.
From the helm of the silence machine

Through the bowels of his ship cry the spirits
lost souls he will never set free.
As the last living breath slowly dwindles
Death's disciple will deal misery.

For the newly acquired apparitions
will be shackled and bound through the trip
It's their forlorn wails of affliction
he'll require to power his ship.
"weigh anchor!" is called and completed
by a competent skeleton crew.
a light breeze will blow
from the pain dealt below
and a fog will obscure them from view.

To those wanting a book, here is what we see.
We have 2 writes in the making
Demonic Transfer
and Blueberry Blood Cake
and edit.

We will go over the manuscript a day, and then it will go to
a professional editor.

We then will get back 2 PDFs
one locked, and one open.

Then, we will send it to Createspace, and they will already
have communication with Pads because tomorrow, this
Shall be implemented, so by the time this is in gear.
The poets and I shall be finished or done.
Then like I just said it goes to a final edit.

As soon as I get it, The book is on.

It takes a week before createspace/amazon to make
The book available to the public.

Now, we are going to get Pads, and Amazon to give the
Poets/Authors a key code for a discount on the books,
Just like the winners of the OP contest received,
They will only work for the poets in the book.

I am posting with great news!! Poets of Blood, you have all helped more than I could have EVER thought possible!!- I just got off the phone with P.A.D.S main man- the founder, and she, and I talked for about an hour- She is SO GREATFUL for us doing this book, and coming together to aid those who are without personal homes( I like thinking of creative ways to say homeless; gives their situation more dignity) anyhoots- the conversation lead to talking about my BlanketRescue non profit org- and the intended goals I have set... anyways, I told her that ultimately, after Illinios gets of their asses, and gets the license I need done, my main objective is to bring a warm home cooked meal to those who are hungry, at least once a week- and that maybe, one day- I can have a kitchen set up in every county to serve in/ or take out- once a week, presenting the 'customers'(again, better wording lol)- with dignity, and not shame of accepting a handout- anyways, she was so overcome by our efforts as a team on Bleed For a Cause, BlanketRescue, and my hours at PADS- that... get this, POB: She is going to partner up with me, and during summer months- starting next year, I can use the PADS shelter for my county kitchen once a week- and I can use HER liscence, - until Illinois gets off their corporate steak eating asses, and issues mine!!- Sooooo - WE DID IT- together!! Because of POB- hundreds, thousands will be fed- and my dream of having a space donated to feed those off the street, fulfilled!!-plus- shes gonna 'goose' em, so I can collect revenue on my charity, BlanketRescue.!! -Ok, my blood babies- give yourselves A pat on the back- you ALL deserve it!!- thank you guys- Big Fat Madelynn/Alexia, kisses- almost ones to good ya cant tell grandma about!!- Maddi. ps- John is totally psyched- hed kiss ya too- but... ya know ..,lol

I was homeless as a teen for a while and i know it was only for a few months in the summer time, but it still sucked. i slept (and now i can see it as a very appropriate place) in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery which was the safest place i could find, and as i think back to that time half a life time ago... i remember wishing for a blanket.. a warm meal... SOMETHING that reminded me of the good in humanity. It's rather ironic that this kind deed is done with dark words.. anyways i am rambling now... great job to all
