AFTER THE WAR

WW II Was the great watershed event of the 20th century & we have yet to recover.

Think of a little further back than WWII. We still haven't recovered from having a democrat in office for four terms during what should have been a short recession which was milked into becoming the Great Depression. Now look at the same problem today--a democrat in office during a financial crisis.....a perfect storm of sorts.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
