    Freak

    You call me a freak,
    A waste of your time,
    Because I'm not like you,
    Don't act like it's a crime,
    To be myself,
    With my own unique style,
    I'm like a mosaic,
    Pieced together with tile...

    You look down on me,
    Like I'm not quite as good,
    But, I just don't care,
    And it's not like I should,
    Because I am me,
    And I won't change for you,
    Or for anyone else,
    You should be yourself too...

    very formal and direct keli, great work, stand in the way of adversity and force it to accept you, dont step aside for it so it may pass by without knowing you first.

    Keli, I liked this poem. The message is strong. It's important to be accepting of one's self even if you are looked down upon. Stand up for what you believe and be yourself. People should like you for who you are and if they don't, that's their problem. Read my poem, Don't Pretend. It is similar in it's message. You are a good writer. I enjoy reading your work.
