    Friends

True friends are like pearls, they are hard to find.
They are a treasure to have and true friendship surpasses all time.
With a friend you share; secrets, laughter and even the tears.
You keep confidences, provide comfort and calm each others fears.
You can call a friend for any or no reason at all.
They will always listen and if they're not in they always return your call.
They provide compliments, encouragement and help to instill your faith in yourself.
They are honest- even when it hurts - you can trust a true friend like no one else.
If you stumble they will try to break your fall.
In times of trouble they are as close as a call.
I can't thank God enough for the few he has given me.
They are the best - just like family!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
