    Poem Commentary

    I, as I inevitably do made the same mistake that I have been making for the last seven years now. And after all of this time you would think that I would have learned. But at 22 years of age I have not. So after sleeping with yet another man who doesn't love me and probably never will I was inspired and wrote this poem out of bravery for all of the other women so that they do not make the horrible decisions that I keep making because I do not love myself and I am terribly insecure. I did this for you ladies.

    Fucked

    How many times will you fuck 
    before you realize you’re being screwed?

    If you bend your ass early
    he will break you hard and soon

    If sex is your way to give love 
    than its your soul you're giving up

    Buying your way into freedom comes at a price too high,
    most of us not willing to pay

    He will be crowned Mr. Love em and Leave em
    and you will be forgotten as Misses Yesterday

    Don't fuck them or screw them 
    if you do you will always lose them

    Denounce the words
    Ho
    Bitch 
    Slut
    tramp and skeez
    Stand up, work hard and buy back every ounce of pride that you 
    unwillingly freed

    Women we are beautiful in case 
    we didn’t know so

    Too damned pretty 
    without ever bending 

    or lending our precious parts
    with loose hearts

    What's it gonna be ladies?
    Because today you have to choose
    Because the next time you fuck, will be your choice in getting 
    screwed

    After all this time, you have not changed nor faded. This is something I enjoyed... the wordplay conveyed vivid, truthful images...beyond each word, lies a story, a tapestry woven to complete a complex idea with a simple delivery. I truly enjoyed this. Now I will return to my obscurity. But I just wanted to say I applaud this work.

    Your unabashed bravery is beyond many women's understanding. Certainly your brave poem will help someone whom truly needs help to understand true facets in life. Growing up a young boy, living in the liquor storeroom of the bar my mom owned, I saw all you've written and much more. You've done a great justice for women. This heterosexual male gives you and your awesome poem a standing ovation!

    There'll be naysayers on almost every site available who just want to try to hurt someone and get their two cents in, especially since they've not the *moxie* to stand up and do what you've done to help others. I thank you for sharing your awesome poetry, my friend.
