    Poem Commentary

    Once a month, when the moon was full, we would wake up the kids at midnight and take them out for a walk. In the winter, it was especially beautiful with the snow reflecting the light of the moon. My daughter still hates me for it, but my son still loves to walk by the light of the moon.

    Full Moon Blues
    Long shadows from reaching branches

    Gnarled forms bent and twisted

    Casting crooked shadows

    On glittered indigo snow

    Confetti from heaven

    Scattered in loose snow

    Full moon on high beam

    Frosting the night

    In starkest full moon blues

    A beautiful family tradition, your kids will probably love reliving in years to come...(even if it is to gripe...)lol Very nice piece!
