    Fun Times

I sit here thinking to myself.
Thinking about the good old days.
Of all the fun times I used to have.
And of all the people that
    Those times were with.
There are so many people that
    I have forgotten about, but
Then there are those that I
    Could never forget about.
So many people that I cared about,
    But yet I lost them.
Some of them I have lost for all eternity.
One love, two loves, three loves gone.
    Never to return, never to
    Be heard from again.
Was it something that I did?
    Or was it just “fate?”
    So many questions unsaid,
    So many questions unanswered.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
