Gale's Love Plea To Eleodoro

I am the one who is longing,

For you to gently pull me near

I am the one who has waited

For you to want to be right here

So many dreams live in a heart

Made of wishes on a lover's star

But the dreams burn out in flight

In a void of never ending plight

I am the one who has loved you

Even though you're far from home

I am the one who's adored you

Even though you feel the need to roam(while I'm alone)

Just how long must I wait?

This distant shore is such a cruel fate

For my heart sinks in the sand

Of this cold and barren wasteland

I am the girl with a heart made to love you

I am the one to not place me above you

You are the fortunate one can't you see?

As you are the one who's always had me

I've been in waiting anticipating

All of the promises you made to me

So how much longer,I'm not getting stronger

Is this our love meant to be...?

So many dreams live in a heart

Made of wishes on a lover's star

But the dreams burn out in flight

In a void of never ending plight

I am the one who is longing,

For you to gently pull me near

I am the one who has waited

For you to want to be right here

I'm still here...alone...

I am loving you...

When will you come to me...

And make the promises true?

Just how long must I wait?

This distant shore is such a cruel fate

For my heart sinks in the sand

Of this cold and barren wasteland

I am the one who is longing,

For you to gently pull me near

I am the one who has waited

For you to want to be right here...

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
