    Gap Skin

I am of egg and earth,
    Of shell and suck,
    And I have come close.

    The waste we are...
    In salt or soot
    I am the legs

    You are the legs

Bone by bone by stone by phone

Our buoyant skeletons float out of our bodies,
    Leaving us asleep

It seems that there is a strong thought beyond the words you have used. Not sure, but what I could get out of your poem was that life is a road that leads to death.

Wonderful, mystical words you weave. Not quite sure what the meaning was, but loved the sound of your words. Keep writing

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
