Getting Over You
Somebody lied to me today
someone who said he never would
It’s nothing unique or new
But that knife cut deeper
than any Butcher’s knife
Someone hurt me today
someone who swore
not to do it again
and the tears they
won’t stop coming
Something died in me today
Something I’ll never get back
part of me feels like
it will always hurt
and I wonder how long it will take
to get over this one
