    • Been on a hiatus for awhile, but I'm back and have the itch to write some poetry.

    Ghost

    floating through the air
on a warm and gentle breeze
    I am just a ghost
    who no one ever sees
    all alone I wander
    searching for a soul
    one who will love me
and help to make me whole
    but I'm an apparition
    I really don't exist
    no one ever knew me
    so I am never missed
    I wander aimlessly
    throughout this world of ours
    though I'm imprisoned
    trapped behind my scars
for I am just a ghost
    I cry my ghostly tears
    for you'll never see them
    they tend to disappear
    they fall on the inside
    where only I can see
    where it corrodes my heart
and I have ceased to be

Sightless, but yet forced to float on..... Humans really must be strong creations, for what we go through we still trudge on, somehow. You express this well. I feel this way constantly.

again, you have such a way with words....and you write so honestly it hurts. even ghosts have presence... 10

Travis, this piece contains so much reflection. The imagery used is well portrayed. It allows the reader to capture the inner-feelings of the ghost....unnoticed, unwanted, unappreciated. A lost soul, who wanders in the depth of the world, seeking redemption! :)) I loved it! Great Job!

Thank you so much. That is exactly what I was trying to portray.

lovely. I love the rhyming. you dont see to many good rhyming ones anymore... anyway, on a deepr note, the ghost is saying this, so I assume the ghost has an audience: someone who he is talking to... so either he is sitting there talking to someone who cannot hear him, or talking to someone who can, which means he found his "somone". that puts it all in a new light, no? I like this one. 10.

Thanks... the ghost is just a metaphor for his nonexistance. He believes that he is all alone in this world, and no one ever sees him... like a ghost. But he doesn't let it show on the outside. It just eats away at him from the inside.

Indeed, it is so difficult to express concern and affection for something that is unknown. I just hope that the ghost, if they really exist, will found love and companionship with their fellow ghosts. I love the message of wanting for a soul to love of which each one of us so desires. I like your imagination and creativity.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
