    God Looked Down

    One day God looked down,
A search He made for His child.
    Your virtues caught His eye,
So He knew this child to be safe and smiled.
This child is God's precious gift,
He askes that you shower with love.
He askes that you train in His ways,
For someday He'll call this child back above!
    We nurture,
    We lead by example.
How long do we have to teach?
God wishes our lives to be but a sample.
    Into our arms they come!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
