    Gonna’ Walk by The River

    (Sort of a song lyric)

        2. You can’t turn on the radioYou can’t watch TV

It’s in almost every thing you try to read

They say that Love is the answer, but then what is the question

And who knows where Love will lead

         3. Why does everybody talk so much about love

             When hardly anybody really knows

What love really is and where it comes from,

And the secret to how love grows.

          4. I found her one day-- a place I hadn’t expected

I had just got up off of my knees

I’d told God, “I can’t find her.” Too much hurt, too much heartbreak

Help me find her Lord won’t you please

We’re gonna walk by the River of Life till it ends

And  keep on walking up around the next bend

Cause a love strong as this one, God only sends

To last you forever my friend.

(last time) To last you forever my friend

          5.  We were on the same bus, coming back home to Texas

When God smacked me upside the head

Cause when the stars cleared, she was right there beside me

“And she’ll be there forever,” He said.

It’s been thirty seven years, the two of us together

And there’s one thing that I’ve learned since then.

It’s not the love that you get, it’s the love that you give

That’ll carry you through to the end

    Chorus (end):

I love the finale of the chorus, and yet there is a star's beacon that illumines, we love because He first loved us. We gotta receive it before we can share it. Harv

Excellent piece I really liked the last chorus best of all..................

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
