    Good-bye

    When I first met you,

    You definitely caught my eye.

The whole time I knew you,

I wished we would give things a try.

But it never worked out that way.

I guess I was just too shy.

    And then I moved away.

    I cried in your arms,

    We said our good-byes,

    We went our separate ways.

There are times when I still think about you,

And it makes me want to cry.

Because I have not seen you,

Since the day we said good-bye.

A lovely poem Lady, I love how this one is so simplistic but still so good, no weaving and winding metaphors or hidden meanings in this one, just the straight foward truth with a wave of emotion behind it ready to break at any moment. -Spence

When you truly love something or someone you will let it go if that is what is best for it, hard but that is true love.

when we are younger we dont know how things will turn out. yet as humans we always say i will never let you go. i will always try to find you if you move away. and know that no matter what we will always be best friends. thats the hope which keeps us strong. we will hurt, but we also know we grow more.

There's nothing worse than wondering "what if?" I've got a few from a long time ago, and they still burn.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
