    GOSSIP

if i don’t divulge my story
you’ll have no story to tell
    i’ll also steal your glory
you’ll have no gossip to sell

    your flapping loose lips
    will suddenly be pursed
    so used to sinking ships
    and so vindictively versed

    you won’t inflame my thoughts
    nor shut down my emotion
    to slander me you ought
    what gives you the notion

    when you feel like singing
    you should keep yourself quiet
there’s no use in mud flinging
that only starts a verbal riot

    you feed on each other
like an all you can eat buffet
anyone a target even your mother
stab her in the back touche’

    1st verse is awesome (9)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
