    Green Waste

    Green is about conservation,but
what is green to me,it's hanging
    from a noose,while others keep
    screaming.

    The ozone layer,our emissions,
and our trees to name a few,
    but does our enviroment re-
    cieve it's proper due.

    Our enviroment,which was created
by God,was to replenish and en-
    hance our lives,without this,we
    would be buzzing around like
    bees,looking for our hives.

We need to use our resources,
    which we have,and been naturally
    given,will we be overrun,they
    now have a safe haven.

It is sort of like hunting, which
    helps keep the population down,
they have been put here to be
    eaten,another one of God's
    creations.

We have the laws to save and
    protect the earth,why not pro-
    ect man,he too,has given birth.

    Looking at earth,we should focus
on how to benefit from it,with the
    many resources,this green's turning
    to shit.

Why depend on others, when we have
all that we need here, enough natural
    oil,for the next 200 years.

    Logging enhances our forests,which
help the deer prosper long, leave them
    uncut,a whole animal populations
    hunger prolongs.

    Recycle,Recycle,this word makes me
    sick,making us recycle,so that
    they may profit from it.

We also blow-dry our hands after
    a wash,more germs and electricity
    used,what a bunch of hogwash.

These are just some examples of
what green means to me,we must
fight against the green,so that we
    may prosper,and ultimately re-
    main free.

I hear ya loud and clear in this one! And I couldn't agree more. I have a neighbor who recycles, decomposts, doesn't use anything but natural cleaning products, etc ... But ... and it's a Big BUT at that :) She and her husband leave several lights on in their house 24-7, 365 days a yr and here's the real kicker one week they went on vacation and I was talking w/the wife and she said - Oh..Thank God! I left the A/C on - it is so Hot outside!!!" Now mind you, they don't have central air- it is installed in a window. Now that's green, isn't it? Idiots I tell ya! Anyway .. I've ranted enuff ... Great write! :) Ken

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
