Had I known how brief our time would be
I would have worried less about tomorrow
lived for today
Had I forseen my last words spoken to you would be hurtful
I would have chosen them differently
making sure the depth of my love
was thoroughly expressed
Had I realized that I wuld not see you ever again
I would have savored each second holding you
memorizing ever detail of you
Had I sensed that tomorrow would not come for us
I would have overlooked the meaningless irritants
focused solely on US
Had I known......
