HANDCUFFED TO INSANITY
AS A CHILD ALL BEATEN AND SCORNED,
I ESCAPED.
AS A TEENAGER, MOLESTED AND PUSHED ASIDE,
I ESCAPED.
AS AN ADULT,SELF INFLICTED PAIN INDUCED,
I ESCAPED.
ONCE HANDCUFFED TO INSANITY,
I ESCAPED.

- With, and through every setback in life, to have even a chance to continue on and reach our potential place in the future, we must fight and win each battle... Then run like hell taking the lessons learned that we might not be so easily duped into allowing ourselves to follow a blind instinct to just cope and hope for the best... Live on....

- Stages of life from child to teenager, and an adult... doesn't really matter what the insanity is... freedom (escape) is possible! Apparent survival is possible. Healing is possible. A new life is possible. I love it. The depth of this poem takes talent convey with so few lines. Good job.
