    Chance Of Rain

     Dark clouds hover over me
    As I endure my pain
    A storm is about to form
    I think that it will rain

    The sunshine that once was here
    Decided long ago
    Not to warm my heart again
    I simply want to know

    Why does the sun hide from me?
    Something does not feel right
    I am scared and unprepared
    To live without its light

    I can't even see the moon
    Or twinkling stars above
    Depressing thoughts plague my mind
    They're all I'm thinking of

    If there is a chance of rain
    I need to have with me
    An umbrella overhead
    I've learned from history

    That is why I keep it by
    I never will forget
    When it's raining down on me
    I never will get wet

    You have been my umbrella
    During each rainy day
    You have kept my hopes alive
    The storm will go away

    You have kept my faith alive
    The rain will stop and then
    I'll be bathed in warm sunshine
    And be happy again
