Happy New Year
The slate wiped clean,
The year is shiny-new,
And friends are held close....
A shelter in the face of the unknown,
Lighting the way.
The passed year,
Full of lessons learned
And dreams encountered,
Has revealed new paths to follow.
I go willingly,
My heart wide open
To the teachings of a new year.
Bless me me for I have sinned,
And I plan on doing it again!
