    Poem Commentary

I'm not good at writing "happy" poetry. I tried to follow the style of Dr. Seuss, but that didn't exactly work.

    Happy Poem

    This poem is upbeat.
    It’s happy and light.
    It was written in sunshine,
    And not in the night.

    What shall I say?
    Shall I talk about love?
    The beauty of today?
    The cry of a dove?

    This is not easy.
    It’s not easy at all.
    This poem is happy,
    But the order’s quite tall.

    It’s hard to be happy
    When faced with such sadness,
And it’s hard to be sappy
    Faced with such madness.

    But this poem is hope,
    It’s an annoying fight
    To try and be happy,
    And upbeat, and light.
