He Loves Me

I was all alone
When I heard the slamming door.
All of my hopes and dreams
To be no more.

My days were dark and gray;
My hope was all but lost.
My heart would not mend,
Not at all, at no cost.

My head hung way low,
Tears streaming down my face.
My life felt at an end,
I didn't fit in any place.

And then one day
I opened my eyes;
And what was there
To my suprise?

A ray of hope
Shinning bright.
Through the darkness
Shone some light.

There by my side,
lay a leather bound book.
It got my attention,
So I gave it a look.

In it there was a promise;
Eternal life for me.
Accept the Lord our God,
He will set you free.

He loves us more
Than we can understand.
He wants to guide us,
And give a helping hand.

Life is not easier
With no one by your side;
So open yourself up
And let God inside.

He'll heal your heart
And give you love.
He'll prepare you a place
In heaven above.

Think of these words
And please don't despair.
When you feel all alone,
Accept the Lord, He'll be there!!!
