He Speaks to Me

God speaks to me through the rustling of the autumn leaves,
the rattling of the windows when the north wind blows.

Rise! Take in the day I have made for you!
Let the Sun caress your face with my love.
Let your eyes feast in the bounty of my beauty and all I have given you!
Let my streams wash you clean.

Do not sit idle, for my love is not so, like the wind.
Run to the hills and shout out my name in glory.
Tell every soul who will listen, and take them with you.
Leave no one behind, just as I will not leave you behind.

And look to the heavens as you celebrate your life,
for I am soon to come.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
