Heaven is Waiting

Heaven is Waiting

There is beauty that is waiting

            to be embraced.

She can only be found

            in the stillest of places.

You must clear your mind

            of all surface preconceptions

then look from within yourself

            to understand her conception.

You will look long, and look deep

            and overturn every stone.

But sadly, for all of, and because of, this effort

            her present will become unknown.

Heaven is waiting

            to be embraced.

She can only be found

            when guilt is replaced.

With confession and repentance and

a new birth shows his faith.

Redemption is the gift of forgiveness

and is nigh for all who ask.

It can change the course of circumstance

or clear a life of its happenstance.

It is marvelous poem with simple and valuable message. But, unfortunately people are confining to this earth with sin and mortality, morbidity and thinking that this world itself is the Heaven. What do you say? R K Chowdary

People find what they are looking for...???

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
