Heaven to Hell

Poet to Poet
By: Poetic_Muse

I'm glad to see that you have
seen Heaven,
I believe you when you say that you have rode on the wheels of chariots through fields of unforgiving things
only to come face to face with the door of the place
you find too holy to intrude upon
with impure feet
unworthy of standing before the king
but trying to gain his forgiveness
as you battle through evil beings...

I myself have seen Hell!
It possess a stench I know oh so well,
it's eyes are empty abysses of pain
prepared to drain all that is pure inside of the soul
it's wanting to inhabit sucking out the glow of hope,
Left me standing on a chair
with my neck through a rope..
But I didn't have to travel to a different realm in time
Hell was here on earth
and he stole what the phuck was mine...
He took through force what no man should take
everything I trusted was devoured on his plate
a beast with no words
just grunts of hateful solidarity
thinking he was winning
but the bastard wasn't scaring me,
because hell is my familiarity...

But I'm glad you've seen Heaven
I'm trying to see it too...
I pray that when I hit those doors
I'll be pure enough to walk through....

Heaven to Hell is another excellent piece with a vivid expression of your feeling for both Heaven being a place of purity and hell a place of torment her on earth cause by the hand of mankind in one way or another... I enjoyed it, KD Check the website for my book it is - www.lulu.com/thebookcastle1

everybody has their own personal hell on earth, sometimes we just aren't aware of it. Very nice expression of angst and defiance.
