    heavy metal

    the weight of my sadness
    immeasurable in pounds
    this desperation remains obvious
    my desirous beckoning resounds
    why do you forfeit
    the treasure you had claimed
    my love, you’ve handed it
    back to me
    tarnished
    hopelessly stained.

Very creative, the metaphor is good, but metal can be a good thing I gave it a 9

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
