    Hidden Desires...

Wanting, waiting, in the depths of my mind,
Hidden from so many a prying eye,
    Searching for a time,
    Hoping she knows why.

    Feeling her heart ache,
    Hearing all her hidden cries,
    Never letting her see me,
    Seeing her through hurting eyes.

    Hiding in the shadows,
    Waiting to someday speak,
    Watching her from a distance,
    Hoping to never squeak.

Walking to her in my mind,
Its seems so easy to do,
Talking to her from my heart,
Is this what she wants too?

    Hoping she sees me,
Hoping it's for who I can be,
Not for the guy most think I am,
But for the one who is truely free.

    Someday it may happen,
    Wanting it as such,
    Hidden desires we all have,
But some just not as much.

very well done. sometimes loving and trying to keep that love to ourselves in fear of rejection is the hardest thing. I have a poem in a similar fashion if you would be interested in reading it. It is called silent affair. I enjoyed the flow and passion of your piece.

nice. Is that a poem created from reality's inspiration?

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
