His-Story

His-Story

I realized that the word "History"
Can also say "His-Story"
History and the entire concept of it
Is only Man's story
A mental roundabout
Does the story make the man?
Or does the man make the story?
The man can make the tale,
His-Story
And then find himself believing that
His-Story, or History
Made him
That he is a product of
Some legend that started long ago
Called Life
Which he is, without realizing
That the entire time
He was the Fire-Starter,
The bringer of his own light
And the warden of his own prison
Simultaneously
Benefiting and suffering
From his own creations
        His Story
             History
All that he creates,
                    Observes,
                                                   Then deems to be true
And many times believing that there is
Only one truth that can be the
            True Truth,
And in the process denying himself access
To all the Possibilities of Truth
That contain as much power and realness
And tangibility as the original truth
That he discovered and clung to,
Almost for security...
"Without this truth, who am I? What am I?"
Why, you are the possibility of
All Truths, that's all!
Possibilities and knowledge
That are as infinite and endless
As you and I,
The Beings of Spirit
That we are
And have always been
And will always be
And, to get present,
That we always are
As we be, as we is

2/27/09 Trocka7: Interesting poem! There is a constant weave here in this poem - in and out - from the main thought I am trying to grasp; which I am having trouble grasping! Do you have a main point or thrust in writing this poem? Such as man is everything? - and man only imagines everything else? Or other? Or is this stream of consciousness emitting itself? Kallen

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
