    Hmmm...

     
    I am a savior to so many,
    and at the same time,
    a victim to myself.
     
    I am immune from the sickness,
    I am the disease.

    I have grown up to be nothing.

    I have found, that I am lost,
    from playing follow the leader,
    and have finally figured out,
    that I'm an enigma.

    I have traveled to nowhere,
    and surrounded myself with no one.

    I believe I don't know,
    therefore do I?

    I haven't thought in a while,
    therefore am I?

    Looking up at a downward angle,
    has bent my sight.

    I was reborn into a new death,
    and live among the nonexistant.

    My reflection looks back at me,
    only when I don't.

    Today, yesterday, and all my life,
    I have never lived,
    more than a single moment at a time.

    Well it is always best to live a single moment at a time.. What I get from this only because I am taking your poem and relating it to my life.. anywho, I have been a care taker since 5 yrs old to my pedophile dad drunk mom and two brothers that I raised as if they were my two younger sons. I took care of my lazy ex husband and I raised 3 sons and have I taken very little time for myself. My friends call me an angel and my pride won't let me ask for help. I am always told just how strong I am emotionally and physically and they can bite me..I am not strong I just have no other choice but to do it. Well I have to take some blame for all the help I gave to others because i enabled them to be co dependent on me..Maybe that was filling that void of being a useless piece of trash on earth,and lastly, I know you have heard this before but I can be surrounded by people and still feel so alone. No one should take this ride alone sorry so long..your poems inspire me and that gets me babbling thanx

    Hey babble away - strength isn't always the load we choose to carry. Sometimes it's how we deal with the load thrust upon us.

    A very interesting piece. Still trying to solve the mystery though - like jeopardy - the answer seems to be in the form of a question. How do we ponder such a poem? Hmmmmm :)
