    Hollow

Your dying and i cant watch.
Your time is ticking and you don't have much.
I love you, but i try so much to hate you.
I hope your ready for the painful truth....
I hate being around you knowing your drowning in your sorrow, and worrying if you'll make it till tomorrow.
I hope you think of this with every sip you swallow.
Because this is your daughter, and without my daddy i am hollow.

I really liked this poem... it brought me to tears. I'm a daddy's girl too. I also have people in my life I feel this way about.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
