    Poem Commentary

Okay so I wrote this for my Civics class its not the best honestly its not really all that great. But in Civics we have been learning about the Holocaust actually in December my grade has a chance to meet a Holocaust survivor but before she comes we had to learn more about it to know what to expect from her.
I wasnt really thinking while writing this i just put what I know on here so ya...

    Holocaust

There bodies lay gently beside me

On this cold and dreary morning

The guys came in and grabbed my body

Threw me back without a sound

    Tears here do not matter

Just lift that body there won’t be clatter

Throw me in to that ditch

    There I know I won’t be hit

    Blood will come gushing out

    Another blow upside my face

Here I am I will be found

    But only by the soldiers

    Take me into “the shower”

Make me clean make me better

    Poison goes into the stream

A silent death is what I please

My thoughts will mingle with my tears

A resting place is where I’ll live

Tell my mother I’ll miss her so

    This is hard I know

    But my choice is made

Please don’t take the road I did

I will live in a place where my pain will be no more

No more screaming no more shots no more pain

In this little place in that little plan

    Called the Holocaust.
