Poem Commentary

This is written in memory of a some what real but imaginary muse.

Honored

I think I met an angel.
I couldn't get her
from my mind.
She has no idea
her true beauty.
Never seen
her own true shine.
I was honored
with her pressence.
Proud
of the time
she spent with me.
Dizzy
in her absence,
intoxicated by her memory
I wait.
In hopes
she will  return.
I think I met an angel.
I couldn't get her
from my mind.
She has no idea
her true beauty.
Never seen
her own true shine.
I was honored
with her presence.
Proud
of the time
she spent with me.
Dizzy
in her absence,
intoxicated by her memory
I wait.
In hopes
she will  return.

nicely written....isn't it funny the mark that someone leaves on you without them even knowing it....good poem...

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
