Poem Commentary

All of us has experienced the heartache of loss, but with with each loss, a door opens afresh. KHRSAT

Hope

Tears unleashed from a heart crassly broken, Searching for ways to stem the emotion. Sounds of the heartache, moans by my grief, Whispers at night through sheer disbelief. Was it a dream, or did it happen? Looking for ways to assuage my reaction. Grief shed through tears grow silent in moments, The heart beats on through silence unbroken. Fear fills the mind thinking "what if?" knowing the answer may be missed. My mind begins thinking what happens next? But hope for happiness still beats in the breast! One door closes, yet another one opens, One must move on and always keep hoping. A new chance of joy, words aptly spoken, Will give new hope to a heart once broken. . KHRSAT 2007

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
