    Poem Commentary

this is the compleat lullaby that i mention in Project4:that type of strength; i have a nice slow sweet rythem for it in my mind but im not sure how to express it on this so for now accsept my mere words and imagine for yourself the world of notes implyed.

    Hush-a-bye Heart

    Go to sleep,

    Go to sleep.

    Just for once,

    Forget to beat.

Let sleep rock you like a cradle,

Forget the world you’ll leave behind.

    Close your eyes,

    Close your eyes.

Think of worlds beyond the skies,

    Heart beat slow,

    Heart beat slow.

    From this world we’ll go,

O’er to a land of snow.

    Crystalize, crystal eyes.

    Take my tears,&

    Freeze them dry

    Take my heart,&

    Sing a lullaby.

Let us freeze until we die.

    Heart beat slow,

    Heart beat slow.

    Just the way to go.

    Just take my hand

    & Hold it tight

Take my hand and it will be alright

Fear will leave you for tonight

    Little broken heart of mine.

    Please just keep yourself together

    Cuz I’m falling apart.

    Trying to die slowly,

    With my little broken heart.

So listen tenderly little heart of mine.

    Just go to sleep

    Go to sleep.

And just this once, just for me.

    Forget to beat.

    Say goodbye

    Say goodbye.

    Heart of mine.

As if one could lull oneself to the last peaceful sleep by wishing. I say although I know the feeling, and believe many people do. I put a sticky note on my bathroom mirror to remind me "this too shall pass" as life goes on it gets browner, and dirtier but continues to remind me of all the times before. Write on............Tlady

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
