    but this infatuation
    took me by surprize

     Imagine my frustration,

    How could I let this slip on by?

    Imagine my frustration, when in my imagination I just can't get you out of my mind. Will there be another glance? Do I get a second chance? How could I let this slip on by? I don't know Baby ... I must have been hypnotized, by your eyes brilliantly constructed lines :)

    I can hear the music in this...it's a slow beat with some weeping guitar riffs, seductive and introspective....it's fantastic.

    Actually, it does have a nice sexy groove, and the guitar solo ... i've been told is very similar to something Larry Carleton (Steely Dan) might do .. or so I've been told. Thank you!

    it is a song, actually. iin fact most of my "poems" are song lyrics. this one has a very funky r&b feel. I'm always asked ..." which comes first, the words or the music?" thw answer: it's never just one or the other. the 'feel' of the music can dictate the subject matter, as often as the subject matter will dictate what the melody,beat, tempo, mood ... will be. thank you so much for picking up on that!
