    I AM ALIVE!

WASHINGTON – From coast to coast, pro-lifers are marking the 36th anniversary of the Supreme Court's
Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions, which legalized abortion for any reason, even as a method of birth control.
Since 1973, these decisions have resulted in the death of more than 50 million unborn children.

    I Am Alive!

I am alive! Or I could not die.

I am alive! Or I could not cry.

I am alive! Or you could not kill.

I am alive! Or my heart would be still.

    I am alive! Or I wouldn't grow.

I am alive! God told me so..........MAFLongfellow

I WANT TO LIVE! JUST LIKE YOU DO.

Hi Marilyn, First I want to thank you for all of the nice comments that you have made on my poetry. It is apparent that we think alike. I willed to have my children as well. Life begins at conception and those that declare that they have a right over their own bodies should exercise the will to say no or to responsibly have protected sex. That being done would eliminate having to make a choice. Unfortunately there have been 57 million abortions since Roe V Wade. With contraception available in schools and free clinics etc, this should never be. How sad that the choice for sex can end in having to make the choice to murder. Keep up with your poetry no matter how unpopular your opinion may be! God Bless!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
