I Await
I saw you today
dancing in a daydream
The entire world stopped spinning
to watch as you moved between dimensions
I was falling
straight up to the stars
a willing sacrifice to your smile
unafraid of the repercussions
I allowed the gates to be opened
The darkness
poured down like rain in an attempt
to steal the remnants of hope
to conquer the battlefield of the future
Brave nights of passion
stand on the firing line,
awaiting the final command
embracing the next step
ready to ascend
A lifetime lived and learned
in an effort to free the magic within
I let go and fell to my death
and there I will remain
until I decide to awaken
for the very first time
I can no longer see
so I just look
I wander as if lost
drunk and disoriented
awaiting your hand
I believe in more than forever,
stared into the face of oblivion
embraced the lashings of feeling,
with no want of recourse
I am real
I am here
I am yours
I await

the moment when you were in it
