    I didn't know

So long ago I was just a little girl,
One with a dream so deep inside,
Willing to give our life a whirl,
I didnt know the things we'd find.

We found a love so deep inside,
    One we can't let go,
Even if it was our stubborn pride,
You know I love you so.

I didn't know the softness of your caress,
Or the gentle way you'd look at me,
I didnt know, my life, you would bless,
You're the one who holds the key.

A very sweet, emotional poem! I can feel the love wrapped in every phrase! Great Job Alexia! Continue to write!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
