I Dream
I dream a world with peace.
Where all violence comes to cease.
Where anger needs no release.
I dream a world without hate.
Where all problems can wait.
When men don't need youthful sex to escape.
When girls aren't victims of rape.
I dream a world without regret.
Where everything that's bad, everyone forgets.
When crime rates are less.
I dream a world with trust.
When wrong-doings don't feel a person's heart with disgust.
Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
