I Hate That You Can read Me

You read me like you wrote this story-
Like youve spoken all these silly little words before.
    You know how it started
You know where this goes-how it all ends so anticlimactically.
     But you continue.
You indulge me with our games
With your taunts and my teases
    You continue
You cant wait to rush into it
Recalling the fate entitled encounter between the two of us
It makes you giddy inside doesnt it?
Knowing how you can twist my words
     Retell my story.
You already know how it ends
    You know
    So you stop.
    You love this silence
    What it does to me
    So you prolong it
    Drag it out
Avoid the end at all costs
    Until it was necessary
    Until you were finally ready.
And than, than, you could finally let me in on a secret ive always known.
    You can read me
Always knew what I wanted you to say
    But you never said it
    What I craved the most
    You couldnt give me that
So you read me until you got bored
    And I still waited..
    Im still waiting.

Excellent development, use of divisions in text would assist in graspisng the sequence of impactful events and transition. Cadence (overall flow of tone, symbolism and stream of ideas) is excellent. Syncopation (syllaballic flow and realted rythym), might be stronger by considering to split complex sentences into poetic lines of dependent and idependent clauses. The rythymic pattern, thereby, would be easier to identify and the overall cadence and development, as a result, would likely make this topic the winner.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
