I have to be real

I have to be real

Sense the very first day that I met you

My life hasn’t been the same because of you.

I just have to be real and tell you how I feel.

Everyday your name comes across my mind over a thousand times.

No matter what I do, I can’t stop thinking of you.

I just can’t get you out of my head, and its driving me crazy

Knowing that you’re someone else lady.

And baby I want you to realize that I want you in my life.

And if you want, I will get on both of my knees.

I Bow down to you, asking you to be my lovely wife.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
