  • Lead with your soul and be proud for some have not even a heart

I haven't said "goodbye"

No I haven't said that painful word, I just can't say "goodbye"
I still hold onto your pictures with tears running from my eyes...

I loved you so very much and gave you all that was me
never thinking of the possable pain, foolishly I gave you every piece...

Tears once flowed like a waterfall from the highest mountain top
slowly they have become running like a stream, soon they will stop...

Until that day I will never be able to say "goodbye"
For when I do I know my love for you will have died...

God grant me the strength to say "goodbye"

I can relate to this as well. I wrote a poem recently about a woman I knew who basically took me for a ride and dumped me when I was no longer needed.

If he and I had fought or had differances it wouldn't be so difficult...but he just doesn't want to be in a relationship and risk being hurt if it doesn't work out...I don't see how one can fall in love and run for fear...wow I hold back tears as I type this...

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
