    I KNEW WHAT HE WANTED

It was a dark cloudy night
    and I'm unable to sleep
    I hear a strange noise
so out my window I take a peep.

In my drawer are some sleeping pills, so I take one
It's been a bad day and I'm feeling the stress
Being up all night isn't an option for me
I have to make sure that I get my rest.

So I close my curtains and crawl into bed
when Suddenly I hear a creaking of the floor
I become extremely afraid for my life
As I see the knob turn on my bedroom door.

I reach for the phone on the stand next to me
And with shaking hands I dial 911
All of a sudden the door is thrown open
By a man holding a gun.

I drop the phone leaving it off the hook
hoping they would hear us and send me some help
All you could hear is my dog in the back ground
barking and letting out a big yelp.

He leaves the lights off, afraid I might see him
All I could see was the shape of a man
As he moved closer to my bed I knew this wasn't spontaneous
I knew this guy had a plan.

He knelt down by my bed
I could smell his bad breath
He put one hand over my mouth,
his other on me as I became scarred to death.

I knew right then just what he wanted
And I knew I couldn't fight him and live
So I laid there with him on me
And I gave him all I could give.

But I guess 911 could hear all that was happening
and awaiting outside were the police
He pulled out his gun and aimed it at them
And now the rapist is deceased.

I am really sorry that there are so many awful people in this world. People that don't deserve to be here. I hope you have been able to cope mentally, believe me I know how hard it is. especially to put it out there for the world to read.

Thank you so much sweety. But I am no longer a victim, I am a surviver. :-) And I teach others how to become survivers as well. I am honored that you thought enough about me to comment. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Di

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
