I Know That Heart
She holds her heart out to him
and says:
"It's a little broken, not in the best condition
but,
if you want it, it's yours."
and
he looks at her open palm
ad the bruised heart sitting there
and
he says:
"I know that heart."
she grins a melancholy grin
"Yes.You broke it, remember?"
and
he shakes his head and walks silently away.
and she silently cries
eternally.
and he
would never
see
and says:
