    Poem Commentary

The longing for the end of Winter and the beginning of new growth.

    I Long For Spring

I long for Spring, with butterflies, a mountains breeze, and light blue skies, the smell of flowers in the air , running barefoot without a care.
The tall pine trees, that line the sky, amazing birds that catch your eye, a flowing stream, with water clear, it's once again that time of year.
It all comes back so nice and green, what this year will new growth bring, with light blue skies,a mountains breeze, and butterflies, I long for Spring.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
