I Love You My Sweet Robert Ray
You are daddy's strength in his obstacle driven lifeI will always live on even after death by the knife
My soul bleeds for you my only son
Your life is already in turmoil and it's only just begun
With every little whimper and every little whine
You bring light to my life which usually doesn't shine
I close my eyes and see the shadows upon your face
Hopefully my image will never be erased
As with my father, I have no recollection
The only thing I have is my own reflection
Word of mouth of how much I am like him
An alcoholic, mentally confused by sin
Those are just ramblings of one persons opinion
After all we are all God's minion
Sent to this Earth to live in his creations
To build and strengthen our relations
So to you my only son I give you my all
Always being there when you fall
To pick your spirits up high in your darkest hour
I will always give you all of my power
So lets just make the best of the time we have left
Cause we have enough time to rest
So let daddy raise you up for the world to see
Just more time with you is my only plea
I need to show you things only a father can
Needing more that just a years span
To instill values of a good hearted soul
My life, my gratitude, my everlasting toll!
