Poem Commentary

How come there are so many love poems, but not that many 'I sort'a love' poems? I guess you have to know 100% what you want with a poem...

I {sort of} love you

You're the girl of my life
But not all my life
It's not like you take up
my days and my nights
I love you so much
but there sure are conditions
Because I have a life
And also other missions
So I might not give you
one hundred percent
I hope you don't mind
Please don't resent
My schedules full
Openings are few
But, girl, deep down you know
I <sorta> love you

You're the girl of my dreams
but not all my dreams
It's not like I don't care
It's not what it seems
It's just that there's other
things that I'd wish
But at least I stopped dreaming
'bout the big flying squid
So, that gives you more room
for more of my nights
It's just that I can't control
the dreams in my sight
And it's not like I'll lie
I must tell you the truth
that these feelings are real
I <sorta> love you

You're the girl in my stories
but not all my fiction
I must be diversified
in both characters and diction
So, I'm sure that I love you
though it's conflicting to say
I must consider other personalities
to write a different way
I'm not saying that you're boring
I'm still pondering things though
Don't get angry at my opinion
Because I'm sure to let you know
When I write, don't be saddened
if I kiss another attitude
Somehow I'm sure you know that
I <sorta> love you
