I MISS
I miss.
I miss the thought or idea of seeing you soon,
I used to day dream about that moment you’d step into that room...
I miss the thought of first kiss followed by blissful
Wishful delight that we might experience together…
I miss waiting for good weather so I could offer you a picnic,
The opportunity to remove slick attention getting rap,
In the picnic basket I’d pack chicken, truth and give proof…
My wants are sincere.
I miss hoping to share a beer or fruit drink
While I wink and flirt with sweet words that
Boarder “I love you”… But not too soon. J
I miss hoping to spoon as we consume wine
And shadow candle lit living room.
Our bloom would have been the perfect flowers,
each hour spent would have came and gone over and over
again.
I miss the sun kissed tan I may have gotten to
Lotion, funny I had the silly notion we could also have
Taken the kids… and after they fall asleep
Our game of hide and seek would speak
To the kid in us….
Always still young at heart!
I miss the start, when we first met,
When I made you that bet we had so much
In common but we have encounter hidden
Problem and we may never know…
I will never get to show…
You that I still think you could be
The one.
One of the good ones?
One that got away?
The one I couldn’t keep attention from going astray…
Lately no mater what I say we seem to miss
Our mark, can’t seem to spark interest…
I’m in the dark.
You’re the one I will always miss
Without ever having first kiss.
That’s what WE miss
