    I OVER COME
    I OVER COME


    SO MANY PEOPLE GAVE UP ON ME
    THEY ONLY SAW THE OUTSIDE THE HEART THEY DID NOT SEE
    I MADE BAD CHOICES AND THING DIDN'T GO RIGHT
    DEEP DOWN IN SIDE I KNOW I HAD TO FIGHT
    I HAVE BEEN IN TROUBLE FROM A LITTLE KID
    I AM ASHAME OF SOME OF THOSE THING I DID
    I 'VE BEEN IN TROUBLE AND I DID TIME
    I HAD TO TAKE TIME TO CLEAR MY MIND
    I HAD TO FOCUS ON BEING GOOD
    I COULD'T LET THAT RUIN MY LIFE BECAUSE I WAS FROM THE HOOD
    WHEN I WAS IN TROUBLE RIGTH WHERE I WAS AT
    I STARTED LOOKING TO THE HILL AND THATS A FACT
    SLOWLY I STARTED CLIMBING UPWARD TO HIGHER GROUND
    I STARTED STRIVING FOR BETTER MY LIFE TURN AROUND
    I STARTED LIVING MY LIFE FROM A DIFFERENT OUT LOOK
    I START FOLLOWING THE PATH THAT GOOD PEOPLE TOOK
    I AM NOT RICH BUT I AM HONEST I HAVE THE RIGHT MIND
    I KNOW GOD HAS MORE BLESSING FOR ME IN TIME
    SOME BATTLE ARE LOST SOME BATTLE ARE WON
    I THANK GOD AGAIN AND AGAIN I'VE OVER COME

    There is such an honesty to the voice in this work that has you wanting to cheer it on, you want things to be better and as things do change as it continues on you want to cheer more loudly for the strength that it took to over come.

    You are missing a lot of pluralism. Ashame should be ashamed. There are a few other errors (for example 'overcome' is one word), but other than that, bravo! I understand what you are trying to convey here and I applaud you for your efforts!

    this is a great poem, I am sure if you could get this one out in the world for everyone to see, it would be a great inspiration for lots of people that have just given up because they think things will not change because of were they came from. I am proud of you and I know this path was not an easy one

    I like this poem, it reminds me of my boyfriend who is going through some hard times and and needs to start doin better for himself.
